At a local track meet, RCMS won 3 blue ribbons than red ribbons. They also won 7 more yellow ribbons than red ribbons. RCMS won a total of 28 ribbons. How many of each color did RCMS win?

    Let R = red ribbons

    R + R + 3 + R + 7 = 28

    3R + 10 = 28

    3R = 18

    R = 6 red ribbons
