Please Help! I don't know what the equation is and Google isn't helping!!! Please tell me the equation and how you could get the answer of each?

1)
A student is the 35th counted from the front end and the 40th counted from the back end. How many students are in a line?

2)
There are 300 people on a line. How many people are there between the 35th person from the front end to the 125th person from the back end?

3)
There are 300 people on a line. How many people are there between the 35th person from the front end and the 125th person from the back end?

( I don't understand what to do, explanation?)
4)
How many integer multiples of 3 are there between 100& 1,000

1. N = (35-1) + (40-1) + 1 =

2. N = (35-1) + (300-125) = 209.

3. N = (35-1) + (300-125) = 209.

4. (1000-100)/3 = 300.

1) To find the number of students in a line, given the position of a student from the front end and the back end, you can use the following equation:

Number of students = Position from front end + Position from back end - 1

In this case, the student is the 35th counted from the front end and the 40th counted from the back end. So, applying the equation:

Number of students = 35 + 40 - 1 = 74 students in a line

2) To find the number of people between the 35th person from the front end and the 125th person from the back end, you can use the following equation:

Number of people = Total number of people - Position from front end - Position from back end

In this case, there are 300 people on the line, and you want to find the number of people between the 35th person from the front end and the 125th person from the back end. So, applying the equation:

Number of people = 300 - 35 - (300 - 125) = 125 people

3) To find the number of people between the 35th person from the front end and the 125th person from the back end, you can use the same equation as in the previous question:

Number of people = Total number of people - Position from front end - Position from back end

In this case, there are 300 people on the line, and you want to find the number of people between the 35th person from the front end and the 125th person from the back end. So, applying the equation:

Number of people = 300 - 35 - (300 - 125) = 90 people

4) To find the number of integer multiples of 3 between 100 and 1,000, you can use the following equation:

Number of multiples = (Range / Divisor) - 1

In this case, the range is from 100 to 1,000, and the divisor is 3. So, applying the equation:

Number of multiples = (1000 - 100) / 3 - 1 = 300 - 1 = 299 integer multiples of 3 between 100 and 1,000
