What is the only place in the world who has Fahrenheit and Celsius can be equal

The two scales where they coincide are -40 degrees in both units

There are many places in the world where such temperatures exist.
In my Canada these are the top 10 lowest temperatures recorded.

Compared to these, -40 seems downright "balmy"

I am sure there are many places in the northern US states and obviously in Alaska were lower temperatures than -40 have been recorded many times.
Other places with similar lows would be Russian, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Mongolia, and other northern countries.

Antarctica?

Antarctica=40 degrees

No.

It's negative 40 degrees (-40).

The only place in the world where the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales can be equal is at -40 degrees. At this temperature, both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales correspond to the same numerical value. To explain how to arrive at this answer, let's understand the conversion formulas between Fahrenheit (F) and Celsius (C).

The formula to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is: C = (F - 32) * (5/9)
And the formula to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit is: F = (C * (9/5)) + 32

To find the temperature at which Fahrenheit and Celsius are equal, we can set both formulas equal to each other and solve for the temperature (C or F).

Setting the formulas equal:
(F - 32) * (5/9) = (C * (9/5)) + 32

Simplifying:
(F - 32) * 5 = C * 9
5F - 160 = 9C

Since we want to find the temperature at which Fahrenheit and Celsius are equal, we can substitute 'C' and 'F' with 'x'.

5x - 160 = 9x

Combining like terms:
160 = 4x

Dividing both sides by 4:
x = 40

Therefore, the only temperature at which Fahrenheit and Celsius are equal is -40 degrees.
