This is KINDA a homework question, but would it be a good idea to review the topics learnt in seventh grade for maths before going into eighth grade?

Thanks :)

It never hurts to review. I help students with advanced algebra and calculus, and am constantly amazed and frustrated at how much of their elementary arithmetic they have forgotten.

Look over your topics, try out some problems, and make sure that when you see them you don't have to worry about how to solve them, but can spend your efforts on actually getting the answer.

OK thank you very much :)

It is definitely a good idea to review the topics you learned in seventh grade before moving on to eighth grade math. Reviewing the previous year's material can help solidify your understanding of key concepts and make it easier for you to grasp new topics in the upcoming year.

Here's how you can go about reviewing seventh grade math:

1. Organize your notes and textbooks: Gather all your notes, textbooks, and any other materials from your seventh grade math class. Sort them by topic to make it easier to review.

2. Identify key concepts: Look through your notes and textbooks to identify the main topics and concepts you covered in seventh grade. Some common topics in seventh grade math include fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, equations, geometry, and data analysis.

3. Go through your notes: Start by reviewing your notes for each topic. Read through the key definitions, formulas, and examples to refresh your memory. Pay attention to any areas where you feel less confident or need more practice.

4. Practice problems: Practice solving problems related to each topic. If you have homework assignments or quizzes from seventh grade, revisit them to test your understanding. If not, try finding practice problems online or using math workbooks specifically designed for your grade level.

5. Seek additional resources: If you find certain topics challenging and need more assistance, seek help from additional resources. There are plenty of online tutorials, videos, and interactive websites that can provide explanations and extra practice.

6. Review with a friend or tutor: Consider studying with a friend or setting up a study session with a tutor who can assist you in reviewing the material. Explaining concepts to someone else can help reinforce your own understanding.

By taking the time to review seventh grade math topics, you'll be better prepared to tackle eighth grade math with confidence. Good luck!
