In order to identify and describe a cause-and-effect relationship that creates conflict in the novel "Dragonwings" by Laurence Yep, we can analyze the storyline and the interactions between characters. While I cannot provide you with a specific event from the novel, I can guide you on how to approach this question and help you understand the impact of conflict on the other characters in the story.

1. Read and understand the novel: To identify a cause-and-effect relationship that creates conflict, you must have a thorough understanding of the storyline and the various conflicts presented in the novel. This involves reading the novel carefully, paying attention to the plot, character development, and thematic elements.

2. Analyze conflicts in the novel: "Dragonwings" explores several conflicts such as cultural differences, racism, poverty, and the struggle for identity. Gain insight into these conflicts and their impact on the characters. Look for events where one action or circumstance directly leads to another, creating a cause-and-effect relationship that generates conflict.

3. Choose an event illustrating cause and effect: Select an event from the novel that exemplifies this cause-and-effect relationship. It could be an incident where a character's action or decision has direct consequences on another character or the overall plot. Ensure that the cause-and-effect relationship is evident and provokes conflict within the story.

4. Describe the cause and effect: Explain the event you selected in detail, including the specific cause and its subsequent effect. Identify the characters involved, their motivations, and the consequences of their actions. Consider the short-term and long-term effects and how they contribute to the overall conflict of the story.

5. Analyze the impact on other characters: After describing the cause and effect, discuss the effect the conflict has on other characters in the story. Consider how they react emotionally, psychologically, or socially to the conflict. Look for changes in relationships, behavior, beliefs, or perspectives. Explore how the conflict influences character development, plot progression, and the overall dynamics of the story.

By following these steps, you will be able to identify and describe a cause-and-effect relationship that creates conflict in "Dragonwings" and explain the effects the conflict has on other characters in the story. Remember to support your analysis with evidence and examples from the novel to strengthen your explanation.

I think you have to have read the novel to be able to answer this question. It was your assignment to read it, not mine.

The Answer is, Dragon wings is mainly about the characters trying to get away from someone that's seeking revenge on them. So Windrider killed someone in (SELF DEFENSE) to escape the revenge on the dead man's family. So this cause the main characters to leave their village and all they had behind!
