Suppose you are driving to visit a friend in another state. You are driving 60 miles per hour. You must drive 480 miles total. If you have already driven 120 miles, how long will it take you to reach your destination? If you have already driven 120 miles, how long will it take you to reach your destination? Use h to represent the number of hours it will take you to reach your destination. Use the equation 60h + 120 = 480.

A. 2 hours
B. 4 hours
C. 6 hours

yes its six hours

I CAN HELP YOU.

so you have to do the equation backwards.
60h + 120 = 480 is the same thing as 480 - 120 divided by 60.
60h = 60 x h when you see a number with a letter next to it, its always multiplication, example: 50b = 50 x b.
Anyway, 480 - 120 = 360 divided by 60. = 6.
so 6 hours is the answer, hope this helped everyone. :)

@Ms. Sue.

Don't be so rude, some kids have trouble with math.
Also, the answer is 6 hours. My tip is to use the answers provided and replace h with the choices and see if it equals 480. Choose the answer that makes the equation true.

so lazy.
