Geography Regions Beneficiary of deindustrialization
Need help on one more question
Which region of the country was a beneficiary of deindustrialization during the 1970s? A. Northwest B. midwest C. Southwest . D Northeast
My answer is D.
I don't know what the word "beneficiary" means here. It usually means that there is a benefit, as in something good. Certainly the northeast was most affected by deindustrialization, but it was no benefit as factories and steel mills, etc., closed and people were left without jobs.
