Solve the proportion

G/56=2/8

A)g=14

B)g=16

C)g=13

D)g=50(I pick this)

It is A trust me

I don't understand any of it, Im sorry.

Sorry Ms.Sue but i take same answer! i don’t really get a thing that link said.

Thx sam

So is it a

To solve the proportion G/56 = 2/8, you need to cross multiply. Cross multiplying means multiplying the numerator of the first fraction by the denominator of the second fraction, and then multiplying the denominator of the first fraction by the numerator of the second fraction.

So, cross multiplying the given proportion, we have G * 8 = 2 * 56.

Simplifying, we get 8G = 112.

To solve for G, we need to isolate it. Divide both sides of the equation by 8:

(8G)/8 = 112/8,

G = 14.

So, the solution to the proportion G/56 = 2/8 is G = 14.

Based on the options you provided, the correct answer would be A) g = 14.

Maya like said the answer-

8g=112. 112 divided by 8=14.
the answer should be G=112.

G/56=2/8

Cross multiply. Multiply the outside terms together. Multiply the inside terms together.

2 * 56 = 8 * G

112 = 8G

Solve the equation.

No. Please read this about solving proportions.

OK, i'm only trying to help. No answers! My teacher helped me though proportions, and I am trying to turn this website for the better so let me help you! As Ms.Sue said, cross multiply. g x 8= 8g. 2 x 56= 112. Now write it like a answer. 8g=112. 112 divided by 8=14. Remember to multiply than divide. The g really doesn't even matter. This is what my teacher helped me out with. Please try to learn!- Maya.

p.s, it took more than a few trys to get this right. Don't get discouraged! You are smart and can do this yourself! If you go to Connexus academy, ask Mr. Bartschi for help like I did. Please don't cheat! This is the first time i've came here and I don't want me or someone else in trouble!
