Getting a job as a nursing assistant involves several important steps. First, I researched the facility for the the interview through their website; it was important to find out about the company and their mission. I wanted to be sure that my prior experience as a nursing assistant would be a good fit before I filled out their application. On April 15,2015 at nine o'clock in the morning, I decided I would submit my resume at Baycrest Care Center, located in Torrance, California.Secondly, I went for the interview after I received a call back on May 6, 2015 at nine o'clock in the morning. I knew I would not be nervous because I had fully researched the campany, and was prepared for the questions they would ask me.I had laid out my clothes the night before, and I had reset my alarm clock.The tasks would guarantee that I would have plenty of time to get to the interview. Finally, I was hired by the Director of Nursing, and began working on May 14,2015. My schedule was Monday through Thursday, from seven o'clock in the morning until three o'clock in the afternoon. On my first day, I felt overwhelmed. It was a very busy facility and I was assigned several patients with special needs. I had to quickly figure out a way to prioritize my duties in order to meet their requirements.Although this was a long process, I learned that being well prepared is a key component in successfully completing tasks.
