1. 4 4/9 -- yes

2. 4 1/10 - no

Ms Sue I do no understand then what I did wrong trying to figure out the answer.

Please show me how you did it. I'll try to find your mistake.

1 1/2 * 2 3/5

3/2 * 13/5

39/10

3 9/10

I first multiplied 1 x 1/2=3/2

Second I multiplied 2 x 3/5=13/5

My third step I believe is to find the common denominator which is 10 and from there I messed up.

How do you get 39/10?

2 x 15=30 so I am getting 39/30 not 39/10

3/2 * 13/5

3 * 13 = 39
2 * 5 = 10
