How does religion most impact the culture of Southwest Asia?

A. Three mayor religions have strong roots in the region and shape the life of the people there.

B. It is constantly changing as new people migrate in and out of the region.

C. The region is dominated by one religious group to the exclusion of most others.

D. Ethnic groups are defined by their religions beliefs, providing for nations unified by their faiths.

From what I have studied B is incorrect since religion is not constantly changing when people move in or out. I also think that C is also incorrect because many religious groups dominate the region such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam. So I think that the answer is D since there are many Ethnic groups like Turks, they are the dominant group in Turkey.

The thing is that the answer may also be A because there are mayor religions such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam. So I'm quite confused.

I'll keep studying to see If I can find the answer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Um, can Turks be Islamic, Christian, Jewish? Or is being a Turk their religion? Are there Christian and Islamic Arabs? Don't confuse ethnicity and nationality with religious identification.

It could be A, C, and D.

Most people in southwest Asia are Muslim. Jews and Christians make up very small minorities. D isn't a very good answer because Arabs, Turks, Iraqis, Palestinians, and other ethnic groups are still largely Muslim. The nations in this region do consider the religion as a state religion.

Turks are an ethnic group and they are unified by their beliefs, I would choose answer D but the thing that confuses me is the last part of answer D which says "providing for nations unified by their faiths".

It's true that they are unified by their faiths but "providing for nations"?

Most Muslims are of two denominations:[11][12] Sunni (75–90%)[13] or Shia (10–20%).[14]

Read carefully and check out all the footnotes.

Ms. Sue is right. I'm not sure there's one right answer for this question.

I just studied a little more and it looks like it's A since due to religions people in the region do different things according to their religious beliefs.

According to my textbook most people in the region are Muslims, but there are also Christians and a Jewish majority in Israel.

So it looks like the answer is A now that I have studied more.

I vote for C. Jews predominate only in Israel. The rest of this region is Muslim.

Take a look at this map. Notice that we can barely see Israel.

That's a good point Ms. Sue, it looks like most of the region is Muslim.

According to my textbook it says that most people in the region are Muslims and also according to my own knowledge, the majority of people are Muslims.

There are some religions out there too but according to my textbook there are some religious minorities. So it looks like the answer is C since Islam covers the majority of the region.

Oops, it looks like that one was incorrect, but anyways, thanks all of you for all your help.

I think is a but I'm not certain. I'm going with it.
