I really need help! Can someone tell me if my answer is correct?

Question; Explain the difference between carbon-14 reading for the human skull and brown rock. Why is there such a difference? What does this tell you about dating extremely old objects?

My answer; The carbon reading for the human skull is 76.6% and the reading for the brown rock is 0.0%. There is a very big difference because the brown rock is so much older. More effort is put into extremely old objects and a different method has to be used.

but why is there such a difference? What does age have to do with the C14 reading?

What does a reading of 76% mean?

Rocks require a different measuring tool, but the method is basically the same; not sure they require any more effort.
