Need help please.
Determine whether each experiment is a binomial experiment or can be reduced to a binomial experiment. If so, describe a trial, determine the random variable, and state n, p and q.
a) You roll a die 15 times and find the sum of all the rolls.
Just need this one. I already got b and c.
And need help on thos one: You have a bag of marbles containing 4 blue marbles, 5 red marbles, and 3 green marbles. What is the theoretical probability of pulling a red marble? Run an experiment to see how long it takes you to pull a red marble (you don't have to use marbles) and see how the experimental and theoretical compare.
Please only post your questions once. Repeating posts will not get a quicker response. In addition, it wastes our time looking over reposts that have already been answered in another post. Thank you.
I'll help on the last one.
5/(5+4+3) = ?
To determine whether an experiment is a binomial experiment, we need to check if it satisfies the following conditions:
1. The experiment consists of a fixed number of trials: In this case, we are rolling a die 15 times, which meets this condition.
2. Each trial has only two possible outcomes, success or failure: The outcome of rolling a die can vary from 1 to 6, so this condition is not met.
Therefore, this experiment is not a binomial experiment and cannot be reduced to a binomial experiment.
