There was a 6 square foot piece of wrapping paper for a birthday present. It takes 3 3/8 square feet pg the paper to wrap the present. How many pieces of 6 square foot paper are needed to wrap 3 of these presents?

Please help me. I tried dividing. Please anyone!

6 - 3 3/8 = 5 8/8 - 3 3/8 = 2 5/8 remaining

Since the remaining portion is too small to wrap another present, you would need 3 pieces.

However, if you combined two 2 5/8 pieces for one present, you would only need 2 pieces.

You don't need to add just multiply 3 3/8 by three

It is 2 5/8

25/8

2 5/8
