In my essay I wrote "doing lots" in a sentence and my teacher wrote me back feedback saying it was colloquial , how can I correct /change this and what can I use instead?

Thanks :)

What is the whole sentence?

He is capable of doing lots with his physical ability but relies on the support of George in his life.

"doing a lot..." "...doing lots of things..." ...dong a lot of things by himself..."

Better yet: "...doing many things..."

She doesn't want me to use that. For example she also said I had to change the word "handle " since it was colloquy a and I changed it to manage.

Colloquial **

Where did "handle" come from?

That's another example in a different sentence in my essay. I already changed it , I need something to replace "doing lots"

What about Reed's ideas?

Kim, think about what it means, "doing lots..." Doing what? You intend to be general about it, not listing things he can do, but "lots" doesn't say much at all. Just think about it. Look it up in a thesaurus on line. Type the words "many -- synonomyms" into your browser and see what comes up! :)
