In that period in the United States, farm prices fell following World War I, then in the 1930s there was the Great Depression when farm prices fell even more. There was also the Dust Bowl in the Great Plains and Southwest which also contributed to rural poverty. Actually, none of your choices fits at all. I'm at a loss as to what to tell you.
