can someone check my work please?

1. Seven times a number, added to the sum of the number and eight.

7*x+8

2. A number multiplied by -7 less 11

X*(-7)-11

3. A number multiplied by 9, added to -8

X*9+(-8)

4. 8.7 less than a number

8.7-x

5. The sum of a number and 12 decreased by 10 ¾

X+12-10 3/4

6. The product of a number and -5 less than 7.2

X*(-5)-7.2

7. The quotient of a number and 2 subtracted from 5

X/2-5

Thank you soo much! This really helps!

A number is multiples by 6 and that product is added to 3 the sum is equal to the product of 3 and 11 find the number

Sure can

Y'all

Your work looks correct. However, I would suggest using parentheses to make the expressions clearer:

1. Seven times a number, added to the sum of the number and eight:

(7 * x) + (x + 8)

2. A number multiplied by -7 less 11:

(x * -7) - 11

3. A number multiplied by 9, added to -8:

(x * 9) + (-8)

4. 8.7 less than a number:

8.7 - x

5. The sum of a number and 12 decreased by 10 ¾:

(x + 12) - (10 3/4)

6. The product of a number and -5 less than 7.2:

(x * -5) - 7.2

7. The quotient of a number and 2 subtracted from 5:

5 - (x / 2)

1. (Seven times a number), added to (the sum of the number and eight).

---> 7x + x+8 = 8x + 8

4. 8.7 less than a number
----> x - 8.7
(if I said "3 less than 8", you would take 8-3 , not 3 - 8, wouldn't you ? )

7. The quotient of a number and 2 subtracted from 5
the quotient is subtracted FROM 5
so, 5 - x/2

the rest are correct
