Hello! I was working on my Chemistry HW about metric conversion. Can you please check to see if my answers are correct? I was having a hard time converting, and I think I finally figured it out.

1 microliter= 0.000001 liters
1 mL= 1,000 microliters
100mL= 0.1 liters
45 microliters= 0.045 mL
1 milligram= 1,000 micrograms
1 kilogram= 1000 grams
100 grams= 0.1 kilograms
1 microgram= 0.001 milligrams

Thank You! I really appreciate it!

All are correct. Good work. Your system is working very well. Here is my system.

kilo
hecto
deka
unit of gram, liter, meter
deci
centi
milli

1000 g to kg. I put my pencil on g and count up to kg. That is 3 so I move the decimal 3 places to the left (since I'm going UP) so that is 1 kg.

1000 g to milligrams. Put the pencil on gram and count down to milli. That is three so move the decimal to the right 3 places (since that is DOWN). That gives 1,000,000 mg.

Remember in moving from milli for the remaining prefixes DOWN the table micro, nano, pico, femto, etc that those are by 1000 each. Same above kilo. Going from kilo to mega, giga, tera, peta, etc, those are by 1000 too.
