So what i have to do is get two articles that are local news and they must come from July and August. It must be approximately be 1000 words and must come from a major newspaper or news magazine. So i have been searching up in the new york times but you have to pay for it and the same thing with newsweek. Is there any other website i can use that is not a short article and local news?

Local where?

http://www.philly.com/philly/news

http://nypost.com/

http://www.nj.com/starledger/

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/

You'll probably have to use the search feature on each (you choose the search words) and then find articles from whatever month and date you'd like.

Thanks

You're welcome.

Yes, there are several websites where you can find longer articles of approximately 1000 words that cover local news without having to pay for a subscription. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Local Newspaper Websites: Check the websites of your local or regional newspapers. Many of them provide access to their articles for free, especially for local news. You can search for newspapers in your area and browse their websites to find articles from July and August.

2. Public Radio and Television Websites: Public broadcasting organizations often have news sections on their websites that cover local news. For example, PBS (Public Broadcasting Service), NPR (National Public Radio), or your local public radio or television station may have relevant news articles available.

3. Local News Aggregators: Some websites compile news stories from various local sources. Websites like Patch, Local.com, or even Google News can provide comprehensive coverage of local news stories from different sources.

4. Local Government Websites: Visit the official websites of your local government and municipal offices. They often publish press releases, news updates, and articles about local events and developments that may meet your criteria.

5. Community Forums and Blogs: Check out local community forums or blogs dedicated to your area. Sometimes, community members or local journalists publish longer articles or analysis on these platforms, providing in-depth coverage of local news.

Remember to refine your search terms when using search engines to find specific articles, such as specifying the location and date range. Additionally, utilizing advanced search options on search engines can help filter results to meet your exact requirements.
