Find the equation for a line in slope –point form for the following:

A line that has an x-intercept of – 4 and is perpendicular to the line defined by the
equation y = 52 x + 4

so the new equation must be

y = (-1/52)x + b
with (-4,0) lying on it

0 = (-1/52)(-4) + b
b = -1/13

new line:

y = (-1/52)x - 1/13
