i am doing Economics, life science, maths lit, agriculture, english,lo and Setswana i want to know what careers are possible with this subjects

I am always amused by all you students who say what you're studying, and wondering what you can do with it.

Seems to me like you're better off figuring out what you want to do, and then picking classes to help you prepare for that.

In any case, your school counselor is your best resource, not a bunch of strangers half a world away.

I agree with Steve.

I think your reply should become a standard "cut-and-paste" answer for these type of questions.

I agree with Steve, too, and I'll add his reply to my growing Word doc filled with this type of macro ... you know, for copy and paste!

With the subjects you mentioned, there are various career paths you can consider. Here are some potential careers that relate to those subjects:

1. Economics: Economist, Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, Policy Analyst, Investment Banker, Market Researcher.
To pursue a career in economics, consider taking Economics as a major in university or pursuing a degree in Business or Finance.

2. Life Science: Biologist, Geneticist, Microbiologist, Medical Researcher, Ecologist, Biotechnologist.
To work in the life sciences field, you may need to specialize in a particular area such as genetics, microbiology, or ecology. Pursuing a degree in Biology or related fields would be advantageous.

3. Mathematics Literacy: Given that Mathematics Literacy is not typically a requirement for careers in science or technical fields, you may have to focus on other subjects to pursue certain careers. However, having numeracy skills is still valuable in many industries, including finance, data analysis, and administrative roles.

4. Agriculture: Agronomist, Agricultural Consultant, Agricultural Economist, Farm Manager, Food Scientist, Agricultural Engineer.
Pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, or a related field will provide a strong foundation for a career in the agricultural industry.

5. English: Writer, Editor, Journalist, Copywriter, English Teacher, Content Creator.
A strong command of the English language can open doors in various communication-related fields. Consider pursuing a degree in English, Journalism, or Communications.

6. Setswana: Translator, Interpreter, Language Teacher, Cultural Advisor, Linguist.
Your proficiency in Setswana could be valuable in careers that require language skills or cultural understanding, such as translation or teaching.

7. Life Orientation (LO): While LO is not directly linked to specific careers, it provides valuable life skills, including teamwork, critical thinking, and personal development. These skills can be beneficial in any profession you choose.

Remember that these are just a few possible career options and that the subjects you choose in high school do not limit your potential career paths. It's important to consider your personal interests, strengths, and aptitudes when making career choices. Exploring different industries and reaching out to professionals in those fields can also help you gain more insight into potential careers.
