How far does water travel if you restrict the hose opening by 80%

    you have to calculte velocity.

    Use Bernoulli's equation. Then, knowing the velocity, it is a ballistic equation.

    Have you had the Area1*Velocity1=area2*Velocity2
    (the law of continuity). in your case, area 2=.2 Area1
