Using the NETS for teachers Standard 1. b. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity. b. Engage students in exploring real-word issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources.

Using this standard I have to: create a lesson plan that includes: at least one resource to deliver core content or information required by the standard. One activity that allows learners to think about or interact with the content or practice the target skill. One assignment that requires the learner to apply their learning. One assessment that demonstrates that the learners have acquired the target skill or competency.

Can anyone help me with this problem. I cannot come up with a lesson? Write teacher you were a great help last week can you help me with this one?

Read everything very carefully.

All this depends on what real-world issue and authentic problem you are going to concentrate on. You cannot move ahead until you have made those decisions.

-------------

Once you have decided those things, take your instructions apart and work on it in pieces before putting it all back together:

-- create a lesson plan that includes: at least one resource to deliver core content or information required by the standard.

-- One activity that allows learners to think about or interact with the content or practice the target skill.

-- One assignment that requires the learner to apply their learning.

-- One assessment that demonstrates that the learners have acquired the target skill or competency.

Do you have any subject matter that I can think about. I have just been researching and there is just nothing that comes to mind that relates to this standard. A real world issue can be so many things.I have not been able to commit to one because I am afraid it want fit into the standard.

Here are several, and some search results that should help you decide:

What else can you think of?

Maybe Global Warming, Environmental issues, Political issues, Causes of Poverty, Climate Change, Biodiversity,Foreign Aide or lack of. How do any of these sound?

Thank You so much for getting my brain going in the right direction. Sometimes all I need is a little push to get there.I am 53 years old trying to finish up my bachelors degree in education, it's HARD.

All of those are far too broad for an assignment like this ... but each could be a category within which you can find an issue.

For example, is there a specific environmental issue IN YOUR COMMUNITY that could be the focus of this lesson?

Think of specific LOCAL issues within those very large categories you can use.

Ok I think I will go with Addressing the Homeless in the United States.

Or what do you think about on addressing the violence and descrimination in college dorms.

I meant addressing violence and discrimination in college fraternities
