A large bag of sugar weighs 7 1/2 pounds. How much does 1 1/4 bags of sugar weigh?
I really need help with this question. the first problem is that I don't know what operation to use and second I don't understand the main problem of this question.
1 1/4 = 5/4 bags
7 1/2 = 15/2 pounds /bag
so
(5/4) bags *(15/2) pounds/bag = 75/8 =
9 3/8 pounds
