Oh, sorry ... my mistake.

Your original answer for 8 is correct. Rita is the indirect obj. However, your answer for 7 is incorrect.

Be sure to read through the explanation of indirect object in that link I posted. Then let me know what you think about 3 and 7.

Here's one way to tell if there's an indirect object in a sentence:

Mr. Garcia has told Rita everything about his trip.
Mr. Garcia = subject
has told = verb
Rita = indirect object
everything = direct object
about his trip = prepositional phrase.

BUT ...

Mr. Garcia has told everything about his trip to Rita.
Mr. Garcia = subject
has told = verb
everything = direct object
about his trip = prepositional phrase
to Rita = prepositional phrase

Do you see the difference? It's very subtle!!
