Change the following to the standard equation of the ellipse

1. 5x^2 + 3y^2 = 15
2. x^2 + 12y^2 = 16
3. 3y^2 + 4x^2 = 3

And please can you give the value of a, b and c of this equations... so that I can sketch it....

you always want x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 = 1

So, just divide through so that happens. For example

#1: divide by 15 to get

x^2/3 + y^2/5 = 1
Clearly,
a^2 = 3
b^2 = 5
since a is smaller than b, a^2+c^2 = b^2
3+c^2 = 5, so c^2 = 2
