Solve the following quadratic-linear system of equations.

y=-x^2-x-6
y=2x-2

A.
(3, 6) and (–1, 2)
B.
(4, 6) and (–1, –4)
C.
(3, –6) and (2, 4)
D.
(–4, 3)

  • Math -

    2 x - 2 = x^2 - x - 6

    x^2 - 3 x - 4 = 0

    (x-4)(x+1) = 0

    x = 4 or x = -1
    y = 6 or y = -4
    so
    (4,6) and (-1,-4)
