So for my homework question it asks what reference do you see to Native Americans in the Declaration of Independence? I put:
"He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions. "
The second question is what attitudes toward Native Americans does this express?
Help with the second question please?

The writers of the Declaration were hostile toward the Native Americans. What arrogance to assume that the people who had lived here for thousands of years wouldn't fight to defend their homelands.
