please help!

how do i find the molecular mass of C3H5O2 molecular mass of 292 g.

You can look up the exact numbers but

C = about 12 = 36
H = 1 = 5
O = 16 = 32
Then add 36 + 5 + 32 = 73
I don't know where the 292 came from.

thanks it helped

To find the molecular mass of a compound, you need to calculate the sum of the atomic masses of all the atoms in the molecule. Here's how you can find the molecular mass of C3H5O2:

1. Determine the atomic mass of each element:
- C (Carbon) has an atomic mass of approximately 12.01 g/mol
- H (Hydrogen) has an atomic mass of approximately 1.01 g/mol
- O (Oxygen) has an atomic mass of approximately 16.00 g/mol

2. Count the number of atoms of each element in the molecule:
- C3 means there are three carbon atoms
- H5 means there are five hydrogen atoms
- O2 means there are two oxygen atoms

3. Multiply the atomic mass of each element by the number of atoms in the molecule and add them together:
(3 * 12.01 g/mol) + (5 * 1.01 g/mol) + (2 * 16.00 g/mol)

Let's calculate it step by step:
(3 * 12.01) + (5 * 1.01) + (2 * 16.00)
36.03 + 5.05 + 32.00
73.08 g/mol

Therefore, the molecular mass of C3H5O2 is 73.08 g/mol, which is different from the value (292 g) you provided. Please check if there is any mistake in the information provided or clarify your question if required.
