Emily has 85 books on her bookshelf. Of those books, 20% are mysteries, 18 are adventure stories, and the rest are fantasies. What is the simplified ratio of fantasies to total books on her bookshelf (i got 10:17 ) answers list:35:50
7:17
5:8
or 10:17

The total books = 85
Fantasies = 50
so its 5:8?

No.

35 = books other than fantasy
50 = number of books that are fantasy
So, the answer is 35:50, and it equals 85.
Also, how did you get 5:8?

You want the ratio of
fantasies : total books
= 50 : 85
= 10 : 17
