Find an equation in standard form of the line passing through the points (8, -5) and (-6, 2).

  • algebra -

    m = slope = [ 2 - (-5) / (-6 - 8)
    = 7/14 = 1/2

    [ y - (-5) ] / (x -8) = 1/2

    2 (y+5) = x-8
    2 y + 10 = x - 8

    2 y - x = -18
