Reilly used 1 and 7/10 tubes of paint to paint a model. He used 2 and 3/8 tubes to finish an art project. How many tubes did he use in total ?

1 7/10 + 2 3/8
1 28/40 + 2 15/40 = 3 43/40 = 4 3/40
