I will assume that you meant
f(x) = 2x^(3/2) - 6x^(1/2)
(or else we could just divide out the 2's in the first term)
f ' (x) = 3x^(1/2) - 3x^(-1/2)
f '' (x) = (3/2)x^(-1/2) + (3/2)x^(-3/2)
or
(3/2)( 1/√x + 1/(x√x) )
