What are three heirs of ROme after the fall of the Western Empire?

I think I know two, which are...Byzantine and Islamic. But what is the last one??
or is my two answer right??

is the last one Latin west???

In my note, i wrote latin west and western europe. Are these to mean the same thing??

I don't think the Islamic Empire was an heir to the Roman Empire.

To me these three heirs are the Byzantine Empire, Western Europe, and the Roman Catholic Church.

After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, three major heirs emerged:

1. Byzantine Empire: The Eastern Roman Empire, also known as the Byzantine Empire, continued to thrive, with Constantinople as its capital. This empire preserved much of the Roman heritage and culture, and lasted until 1453 when it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire.

2. Islamic Caliphates: The Islamic Caliphates, especially the early ones like the Rashidun, Umayyad, and Abbasid Caliphates, expanded rapidly after the death of Prophet Muhammad. They conquered vast territories formerly ruled by the Eastern Roman Empire, eventually establishing an Islamic civilization that blended local cultures with Islamic influences.

3. Western Europe: Although the Western Roman Empire fell, various successor states emerged in Western Europe. These states, such as the Kingdom of the Franks (later becoming the Carolingian Empire) and later the Holy Roman Empire, developed their own political and cultural identities, integrating Roman influences with Germanic and other local traditions.

Therefore, your answer is partially correct. The Byzantine Empire and Islamic Caliphates are two of the heirs, but the last one can be considered Western Europe, specifically the successor states that emerged in the aftermath of the fall of the Western Roman Empire.
