The book A Child Called “It” is about the struggle of a young boy named David Pelzer who was severely emotionally and physically abused by his alcoholic mother Catherine Rovera. From being abused along to being emotionally abused to the point where David Pelzer was not part of a family but was called “The Boy” or sometimes “It”.
