4y=12x24
a. no solution
b. (0,2)
c.(2,0)
d.infinitely many solutions

Math 116
Henry
Eq1:6x  2y = 12
Eq2:12x  4y = 24
Multiply Eq1 by 4 and Eq2 by 2:
24x + 8y = 48
24x  8y = 48
Add the Eqs:
48x = 96
X = 2.
In Eq1, replace X with 2:
6*(2)  2y = 12
12  2y = 12
2y = 1212 = 0
Y = 0
(2,0).
