the perimeter of a rectangle is 26yd, and the area of the rectangle is 36yd^2. What are the dimensions of the rectangle?

xy=36
x+y=26/2=13
Since 4*9=36 and 4+9=13
we have the sides of the rectangle as 4 and 9 yards.
