I was given an assignment to add suffixes ( -ible, -ive, and -ion) to certain root words. I can't seem to find any words for post using the above suffixes. I've tried searching dictionary and roots with post. Are there any words that can be made without changing the root (possible, postive, position)?

I don't know of any words that add any of those suffixes to post.

Not with those suffixes.

post- can be used as a prefix, meaning "after" something

Thanks for checking!

Defensible, indivisible, inedible, imperfectible :) hope I helped

To find words that can be made by adding suffixes to the root word "post," you need to explore different possibilities and be open to variations. While there may not be direct matches for the suffixes "-ible," "-ive," and "-ion" when added to the root "post," you can still generate new words by considering alternative forms or related words. Here are some options to consider:

1. "Post" + "-able" = "postable" (meaning capable of being posted or placed)
2. "Post" + "-ive" = "postive" (an alternative form of "positive," meaning beneficial or constructive in the context of posting)
3. "Post" + "-ion" = "postion" (an alternative form of "position," which could refer to the act of placing or taking a particular stance in the context of posting)

Remember, creating new words by adding suffixes is often a matter of experimentation and creativity. While not all root words will have direct matches for every suffix, you can explore alternative forms or related words to expand your vocabulary.
