you need to make a three dimensional model of a soup can using paper and tape. What 3 dimensional shapes do you need to cut ot make the model?

    But you can't cut out a cylinder from paper and tape. You can cut 2D shapes.

    cut a rectangle and roll it up to form the can

    cut two circles for the ends.
