2 perpendicular sides of a triangle differ by 7 cm. the hypotenuse is 9 cm longer than the short side. what are the lengths of each of the sides

  • MATH -

    s = short leg
    l = long leg
    l - s = 7; l = 7 + s
    h = s + 9

    s^2 + l^2 = h^2
    s^2 + (7 + s)^2 = (s + 9)^2

    simplify
