sound can not travel through

Sound cannot travel through a vacuum. Sound waves require a medium, such as air, water, or a solid, to travel through. When sound is produced, it creates vibrations in the molecules of the medium, which then pass on the vibrations to neighboring molecules, causing a ripple effect that allows the sound to propagate. However, in a vacuum where there are no molecules, there is no medium for sound to travel and thus, sound cannot be transmitted.
