Hi!
I need help with determining the value of each of the following logarithmic expressions. Do not change the bases thx
a) log[base8]4
b)log[base(1/3)]27

let x = log_{8} 4
then 8^x = 4
(2^3)^x = 2^2
2^(3x) = 2^2
then 3x = 2
x = 2/3
do the 2nd one the same way, noting that
1/3 = 3^1 and 27 = 3^3
