Yes, I think that 3 is ethos, but 4 is pathos. However, this is a matter of interpretation. Please check your book, too.

The fact that you donated last year has nothing to do with whether you donate this year. However this argument is a common ploy, appealing to the reader's emotions and sense of guilt.

I checked these websites out but I felt #3 was based on credibility which is gained through evident sources being the dentists..thanks for your help..I appreciate it...#3 and #4 were originally right...just so you know..:)
