compare the fractions. All can be written as 12ths.
3/12; 2/12 (which is 1/6); and 4/12 (which is 1/3).
now put them in order...
2/12, 3/12, 4/ 12

First, you find the least common multiple for 3,6, and 12. Then, you put the 12 as the denominator and divide by the original fractions 3/12, 1/6, and 1/3.
