Draw the hemiketal obtained by addition of methanol to 3-methyl-2-hexanone

This is what I got:

3-methyl-2-hexanone + CH3OH <-> CH3CH2CH(CH3)CH2C(OH)(CH3).

But my answer is line angle formula because that's what the professor wants

I'm not sure if that makes since, but there's suppose to be a bond going to the methanol. Thanks :)

I see what you are doing, and no, its not that clear, but I do see the OCH3 group added on to the ketone. And yes, that's correct.
