how would you solve for this? and what is the answer? 48p^3+2p^5p^7

solve what? There's no equation. If you want to factor the expression, start by factoring out p^3:
p^3(p^42p^248)
p^3(p^28)(p^2+6)
p^3(p+2√2)(p2√2)(p^2+6)
