Eric and Albert won prizes for selling the most raffle tickets. Together they sold 100 tickets. Albert sold 16 tickets more than Eric. How many tickets did each sell?

If Eric's sales = x, then Albert = x + 16.
x + (x+16) = 100
Solve for x.
