The mass of an object at the earths surface is 100 kg. Calculate the force of gravity of the same mass if it is moved a distance of 4 radii from the earths centre.

  • Physics -

    g=GM/R²
    gʹ=GM/(R+H)²= GM/(R+H)²= GM/(4R)²= GM/16R²
    {GM/R²}/{GM/16R²}=16 =9.8/gʹ
    gʹ=g/16=9.8 /16=0.61 m/s²
