A car travels on a highway at an average speed of 65 miles per hour. What was the speed in feet per second?
(Remember- 1 mile=5280 feet)

    65mi/hr * 5280ft/mi * 1hr/3600s = 95.33 ft/s

    when converting from one unit to another, just remember that you can always multiply by 1 without changing the truth of the expression. If you keep track of the units, you can always set things up so that you can cancel the unwanted units.

    To convert feet to inches, just multiply by 1: 12in/ft !
