Benzoic acid react with NH2 group

Draw the product of this reaction, name the new functional group
produced, state the type of reaction that has occurred, name any other
products of the reaction and briefly explain how you arrived at your
answer.( one or two sentences.)

Can't draw structures on this forum.

phCOOH + RNH2 ==> phCOONHR
You do the rest. BTW, there is no such thing as NH2;i.e., it must be connceted to something. I've stuck an R (anything) on it. The product formed is a secondary amide.

name of product BENZAMIDE

To draw the product of the reaction between benzoic acid and an NH2 group, we need to understand that the NH2 group is a primary amine. The reaction that occurs is an amide formation reaction, where the NH2 group replaces the -OH group in the benzoic acid, forming an amide bond. The product is called benzanilide, and the new functional group produced is the amide group (CONH). No other major products are expected in this reaction.
